FREE Speaker Series Events
Aging in place is an exciting and complicated time. Seniors face a myriad of changes physically, emotionally and spiritually. Kensington Park offers our annual hallmark speaker series to encourage seniors to live independently, with choice and dignity. Our keynote speakers will address ways to enrich your life and relationships while staying safe and healthy. Presentation will be at 2:00pm followed by light hors d'oeuvres until 6:00pm.
PART TWO: Nutrition & Disease –The Battle with Chronic Inflammation
This session will explore nutrition and its integrated relationship with disease diagnosis. Chronic inflammation is a pervasive problem and our keynote speaker will identify strategies and treatment options. Faye Berger Mitchell, RDN, LN, Dr. Leonard Neabore and Adrienne Inger, RDN, LN will discuss how nutrition plays a role in chronic disease development and prevention.
Seniors often face a myriad of diagnoses such as: Arthritis, Diabetes, Dementia, Cancer, and Parkinson ’s disease.

Adrienne Inger, RDN, LN – is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist passionate about setting the record straight with sound and simple nutrition advice. She sees clients nationwide via “virtual appointment” and has a growing private practice in the DC-Metro Area where she lives. Adrienne completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and Dietetics at the University of Maryland, and her clinical dietetic internship at a UCLA-affiliated hospital in Los Angeles, California. She has experience helping clients with weight management, women’s health, diabetes prevention & management, chronic kidney disease, and nutrition for the aging.
Dr. Stephen Neabore, MD – is a strong advocate for patient education and active patient participation in personalized health care planning. He specializes in the prevention and treatment of acute and chronic diseases. Dr. Neabore completed his undergraduate degree at New York University and earned his medical degree from St. George’s University. He completed a residency in internal medicine at New York Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, N.Y., where he was an educator and clinician in the weight management clinic.
